About The Position

AdvisaCare Home Health is seeking a full-time Intake/Insurance Coordinator to join their team at the Flint location. This role is responsible for obtaining benefit information, initial authorization, and patient liability before clinical staff begin care. The position also involves initial scheduling of clinical staff, tracking orders, and managing physician/provider/referral source documentation. Previous experience with Wellsky/Kinnser Agency Manager is a plus, and utilization of multiple referral portals and eFax is required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Medicare.
  • Knowledge of insurance websites such as MyCGS, NGS, Availity, Priority, etc.
  • Conscientious, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates patience, flexibility and cooperative attitude.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with others both internally and externally.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year insurance verification, insurance authorization or medical billing experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Wellsky/Kinnser Agency Manager is a plus.
