The Intake Coordinator processes and tracks new patient applications, schedules and monitors new patient internal referrals, clinic appointments and changes, and communicates with families and Shrine Centers regarding status. Triages patient referrals and patient applications by assessing urgency. Handles inquiries regarding referrals and eligibility requirements. Maintains databases on activity, and prepares statistical reports for Board of Governors, Shrine Centers and Key Volumes reporting. Attends monthly Applications Committee meeting and provides statistical and patient information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Basic Life Support(BLS), required within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Year of Pediatric scheduling and patient information applications

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for triage of new patients for appropriate level of scheduling.
  • Uses computer to enter patient information into the EMR in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participates in positive and effective communication; demonstrates flexibility of change as required, promotes inter/intra teamwork, works efficiently and demonstrates integrity.
  • Consistently meets operational expectations related to attendance, punctuality, meeting attendance, compliance with deadlines, staying current with posted and email communication, etc.
  • Processes and tracks new patient applications.
  • Schedules and monitors new patient internal referrals, clinic appointments and changes.
  • Communicates with families and Shrine Centers regarding status.
  • Triages patient referrals and patient applications by assessing urgency.
  • Handles inquiries regarding referrals and eligibility requirements.
