About The Position
The Intake Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Intake and the Chief Admissions Officer is responsible for facilitating the admission process. As a member of the Intake and Admissions team the Dual Site Intake Coordinator is responsible for processing admission referrals, obtaining insurance pre-authorizations and for assisting patients throughout the admission process for both facilities.
Requirements
- CPR certification required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Behavior Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities.
- Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Medical Record.
- Crisis management and time management skills.
- Exhibit flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner.
Nice To Haves
- Previous psychiatric/substance inpatient experience preferred.
- Previous Intake/Admissions experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patient to the Vista's
- Maintaining patient privacy and safety
- Screen referrals and accept patients to fill beds
- Register patients
- Verify insurance
- Provide census updates to Intake Leadership
- Completing all legal documents as required
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Intake and the Chief Admissions Officer
