About The Position

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, referred to as an "Infusion Guide," who is passionate about advancing infusion therapy care. This role is crucial for the company's growth, focusing on detailed referral and intake coordination, alongside excellent customer and physician service. The Infusion Guide will ensure patients receive the highest standard of care in infusion therapy. This is a Full-Time, onsite position based in Vineland, NJ, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have experience reading medical charts and handling insurance pre-authorizations. This role offers predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload, making it ideal for those wanting to stay at the forefront of healthcare innovation.

Requirements

Passion for Patient Care and Delivering Exceptional Patient Experiences
Health Care Experience Required
Prior Experience in Infusion is Preferred
Insurance Prior Authorization Experience
Medical Terminology Experience
Overall Medical Insurance Experience
Ability to quickly grasp new apps
Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigation.
Liaise with referring providers to obtain necessary documentation for treatment and communicate patient status.
Communicate the referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric manner.
Openly communicate with referring and prescribing providers.
Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
Participate in a dedicated 6-week training plan.
