Responsible for completing initial psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention for consumers who present through Open Access. The essential functions include, but are not limited to, providing comprehensive clinical interview and psychosocial assessment for children, adolescents, and adults to determine preliminary mental health diagnosis, making appropriate treatment recommendations including submitting internal referrals, and providing crisis services by telephone or face to face including assessment for risk of harm to self or others and taking appropriate action to ensure safety. This role also involves assisting with the completion of involuntary commitment paperwork as needed, acting as a liaison with referring agencies, and collaborating with other internal providers and/or programs to best meet client needs. The Intake Clinician must maintain productivity standards, complete required clinical documentation in EMR AVATAR NX within 72 hours (48 hours if under clinical supervision), and maintain knowledge of agency technology programs and/or systems. Attendance and participation in department meetings are expected, as is assisting the manager in identifying service gaps and steps necessary to address service needs. Other duties and/or responsibilities may be assigned by a supervisor.
