The Intake Assistant will be responsible for receiving and triaging referrals from various agencies including DCP&P, the prosecutor’s offices/law enforcement, schools, emergency rooms and community providers. This role involves collecting demographic information, confirming the reason for referral, gathering necessary documentation, and prepping charts for clinicians. The Intake Assistant will also consult with RN staff for second-level triage, schedule evaluations, confirm appointments, and manage rescheduling. A key responsibility includes maintaining an electronic call log to track incoming call types and meeting with the manager to review intake activity and referral trends. Additionally, the position will assist with front office duties, patient registration, and clerical coverage as needed.
