Requirements

Active independent licensure (e.g., LCSW / PLPC / RN)
2+ years acute behavioral health or crisis evaluation experience.
Expertise in risk assessment, de‑escalation, and payer authorization processes.

Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, suicide and violence risk screenings (e.g., C-SSRS), and ASAM assessments when indicated.
Obtain collateral information, verify benefits, and coordinate timely bed placement with nursing and medical leadership.
Consult with the on-call psychiatrist/NP to support clinical decision-making, formulate provisional diagnoses, and develop recommendations.
Document assessments, clinical decisions, and disposition plans clearly and accurately in the EMR.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, referral sources, and overnight clinical teams to ensure timely and coordinated care.
Support safe dispositions, address emerging safety concerns, and provide thorough handoffs to daytime providers and interdisciplinary teams.
