About The Position

Visiting Angels is a highly-rated home care provider in the US, dedicated to helping the elderly remain in their homes by assisting with Activities of Daily Living. This role has two primary functions: client intake/sales and referral partner marketing. The client intake/sales function involves managing potential clients from initial contact through the signing of service agreements. The referral partner marketing function focuses on positioning the company as a strategic partner to community referral sources such as Home Health, Hospice, Hospitals, Geriatric Care Managers (GCMs), Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs), and Independent Living Facilities (ILFs).

Requirements

  • Strong drive to build relationships, close leads, and increase the agency's client base.
  • Caring attitude towards providing high-level service to elderly clients.
  • Understanding of elderly clients' health concerns.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • High degree of initiative.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Good verbal communication skills, appropriate language, and understanding of basic medical terminology.
  • Good computer skills, including data input and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Google, and CRM.
  • Ability to learn new software technology.
  • Sales experience.

  • Experience in Senior Care is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all prospects are called back immediately upon reception of a lead.
  • Call all recent inquiries on a weekly basis to sell services and obtain an in-home assessment appointment.
  • Visit clients’ homes and discuss all aspects of Visiting Angel's services, focusing on the client's needs, preferences, and desired caregiver type.
  • Create and maintain current client files with signed contracts, collecting and entering all client information into tracking software.
  • Ensure the pricing of a case is within the company's stated policies to maintain profit levels.
  • Maintain a list of all new clients and track conversion rates, calls, and sources.
  • Track all closed cases and complete all follow-up procedures as outlined in company policies.
  • Help the Staffing Coordinator confirm new client assignments and introduce the client to the caregiver.
  • Work closely with nursing staff to ensure initial assessments are scheduled.
  • Prepare binder notebooks for the client’s home with directions and forms for the caregiver.
  • Consult with the Staffing Manager to ensure the proper level of care is being delivered.
  • Visit current clients in the hospital/rehab/nursing home to check up on them.
  • Prepare discharge paperwork, including a letter to the family with the caregiver evaluation survey, when service has ended for a client.
  • Periodically update the “Client Emergency Planning Forms” notebook.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and report on hours serviced and conversion rates.
  • Attend symposiums and expos to promote services, including ordering/suggesting promotional items.
  • Distribute brochures and other marketing materials to referral sources.
  • Acknowledge referral sources with a gift.
  • Contact and provide ads to newspapers and newsletters for publication.
  • Help keep the company’s website up to date with current news.
