About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an integrator to join our advanced cabin & seats integration team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the rest of the interior cabin development community. You will be part of the Cabin Change Management team, primarily assigned to projects addressing product safety issues for cabin interior components and their associated systems. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. In your role as a Cabin Safety Integrator, you will contribute to various assessment tasks for product safety projects. You will bridge the gap between change management and safety/airworthiness processes to coordinate the delivery of interior arrangement projects for both aircraft in production and those currently in service.

Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • You have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • You are familiar with the specification, design, integration and acceptance of cabin elements
  • Good oral and writing skills in French and English are required
  • You must be a team player
  • You must also be a person with initiative and good planning skills, strong sense of responsibility, strong negotiation skills and good judgment
  • This position requires energetic people with good communication skills, who are willing to accept responsibilities in a team-working environment
  • You have knowledge of MS Office (asset), Google Suite (asset), CATIA V5 (required).

Responsibilities

  • Bridge between the continued airworthiness process and regular project management to synchronize milestones alignment through the safety project development to ensure regulatory commitments are secured
  • Launch and execute product changes mainly related to safety issues via the Change Management Process. Provide impact assessments for all proposed engineering changes and support testing, installation, and assembly stages
  • Provide engineering resolutions (short, medium, long-term) and ensure incorporation for on-time aircraft delivery.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of any safety-related technical issues discovered during the integration phase
  • Coordinate with worldwide Airbus entities and integrate supplier engineering activities
  • Govern safety project progress, risks, and opportunities via governance forums. Provide visibility on safety-related engineering activities and departmental safety performance to leadership
  • Assess and analyze deviations from supplier escapes or assembly line findings, providing an engineering evaluation of their criticality to support the technical safety evaluation process
  • Integrate "Lessons Learned" from past cabin designs and in-service history to prevent known safety risks and provide crucial safety feedback for new development projects.
