About The Position
This role involves navigating hospital systems remotely to investigate account statuses, requesting and obtaining patient coverage documentation via web, phone, or written requests, and updating accounts based on findings and established protocols. The position is full-time and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Ability to obtain a professional certification, such as CRCS-I or CPAR during first year of employment (study materials and test provided)
Nice To Haves
- Medical office experience in registration and/or patient account systems
- Understanding of medical insurance payers
- Understanding of medical billing rules and practices
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment balancing speed and accuracy
Responsibilities
- Navigate hospital systems remotely to investigate account status
- Request and obtain eligibility documentation of patient's coverage via web, phone calls or written requests
- Update accounts to appropriate status based on information found in the hospital system and account protocols
