About The Position

Brabo Insurance, a veteran-owned company founded in 2016 and recognized on the Inc. 5000 list, offers nationwide support in Payroll, HRIS, ASO, Benefits, and Insurance services. We are expanding our Insurance division and presence in Florida, seeking a motivated, growth-minded professional for our Palm Harbor, Florida team to build a long-term career in the insurance industry. This entry-level Insurance Specialist role is designed for individuals aiming for a career in commercial insurance. The position involves working closely with licensed producers and the service team to support commercial accounts, assist with insurance audits, and collaborate with the Payroll and Benefits divisions for a seamless client experience. The role starts at $25 per hour, with the expectation of obtaining the Florida Property & Casualty insurance license within the first four months, supported by Brabo. The position is primarily office-based with hybrid flexibility, but requires occasional local driving for business needs like post office visits, DMV errands, document delivery, or client meetings.

  • Willingness to study for and obtain the appropriate Florida Property & Casualty insurance license within four months
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel locally for business-related errands and client visits
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a personal vehicle for occasional business use required

  • Prior experience in insurance, payroll, or customer service is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with servicing personal and commercial insurance accounts
  • Support policy changes, endorsements, certificates, remarketing, and renewals
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate documentation in our agency management system
  • Assist clients with workers’ compensation and general liability audits
  • Gather required documentation, including payroll records and classification data
  • Work closely with carriers to reconcile and finalize audits
  • Communicate audit results clearly to clients
  • Pull and review payroll reports to support insurance audits and underwriting
  • Partner with Brabo’s Payroll and Benefits teams for clients utilizing multiple services
  • Ensure consistency of employee data across payroll, benefits, and insurance platforms
  • Identify opportunities where coordination between divisions improves client outcomes
  • Maintain organized client files and documentation
  • Support the sales team with proposals and renewal preparation
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
  • Obtain the appropriate Florida Property & Casualty insurance license within the first four months of employment
  • Assist with occasional local business errands and client needs, including trips to the post office, DMV, and other local businesses or government offices
  • Attend occasional in-person meetings or visits with local clients as business needs require
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Insurance division and Brabo’s continued growth
