About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Insurance Specialist is to accurately underwrite Personal Lines risks while serving as a first line of support to representatives on complex matters. This role involves accurately and effectively underwriting all types of Personal Lines business in all states, providing support to internal customers regarding complex matters and escalated customer inquiries, and supporting the department through participation in meetings, projects, and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (or pursuing a degree) in Risk Management and Insurance or 18 months experience as an NJM Licensed Account Representative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective conflict resolution
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Must obtain a Property & Casualty Insurance License as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

Experience providing high quality customer service in a professional setting
Completion of general insurance courses such as AINS, AIS, API, or CPCU, are a plus
