About The Position

We are seeking a driven and experienced Insurance Producer to join our team, specializing in commercial lines insurance for rental property managers and rental property owners. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique risks and coverage needs in the rental property sector, including experience with surplus lines products. You will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering tailored insurance solutions that protect our clients’ investments and operations.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (required).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, with a focus on real estate or rental properties.
  • Proven experience placing and managing surplus lines products.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property, liability, umbrella, and specialty coverages.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sales orientation and client-first mindset.
  • Familiarity with agency management systems and quoting platforms.
  • Ability and willingness to travel +30% of the time.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree a plus

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with key property managers as a referral network
  • Actively contact prospects to record expiration dates and offer quotes
  • Assess client needs and recommend appropriate commercial insurance products, including surplus lines options.
  • Build and maintain relationships with carriers, wholesalers, and underwriters to secure competitive and comprehensive coverage.
  • Stay current on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the rental property space.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and coverage comparisons to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal insurance regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client onboarding, renewals, and claims processes.
  • Follow up with insured for unsold quotes and any required post-bind documentation
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and objectives
  • Adopt and develop strategies while meeting departmental monthly sales goals
  • Responsible for staying up to date on procedures and protocol changes
  • Utilize provided systems and tools to accurately answer customer questions and sell appropriate products and services
