About The Position

A well-established, minority-owned insurance defense litigation firm serving major insurance carriers and their insureds is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented paralegal. The firm handles premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, professional liability, construction and workplace accidents, and New York Labor Law matters. This remote-first role supports attorneys through all phases of litigation and involves managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment. The position is part of the New York Division and handles New York State and Federal court filings. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in legal studies and/or a paralegal certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, motions, and other legal documents.
• Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Gather, review, and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case-related documents.
• Maintain and organize case files, discovery databases, and document productions.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Conduct legal and factual research as needed.
• Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
• Provide general administrative support to attorneys.
