About The Position

A respected and growing insurance defense law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling a diverse defense litigation practice. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team where paralegals play a meaningful role in case strategy and litigation management while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Unlike many defense firms, this position offers a highly manageable billable expectation of approximately 95 hours per month, allowing paralegals to focus on producing quality work rather than chasing excessive billable requirements.

Requirements

3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably within insurance defense or civil litigation
Strong understanding of the litigation process from filing through trial
Experience managing deadlines and handling multiple active cases simultaneously
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff
Proficiency with e-filing in Georgia state and federal courts
Experience with litigation management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

Manage litigation files from inception through trial
Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
Coordinate and manage document production, medical records, and case files
Schedule and assist with depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert coordination
Maintain case calendars and monitor litigation deadlines
Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials
Communicate regularly with attorneys, clients, experts, and opposing counsel
Assist with legal research and case preparation as needed
