About The Position

The Tampa, Florida office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice. The practice interprets insurance contracts and represents insurers in complex coverage claims, including monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The firm represents primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies, with experience across virtually every line of business. Candidates with experience in insurance law are preferred, but the firm is also interested in talented attorneys with substantive litigation experience, a demonstrated interest in insurance law, and strong litigation skills in other areas. Well-qualified candidates with relevant experience may be considered for partnership opportunities.

Requirements

Two to fifteen years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first-party property and general liability matters.
Litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions.
Strong research and writing skills.
Admission to the Florida Bar.
