About The Position

CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy, a mail service pharmacy in the Monroeville area, is hiring a full-time Insurance Collections Coordinator to handle insurance follow-up. The role ensures timely and accurate payment of outstanding account balances while providing excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers. The position is based at the Monroeville facility and offers free parking, with work supported by tools and resources in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of healthcare insurance-related experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to commute to the Monroeville, Pennsylvania office.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize based on importance while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to use analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Insurance billing or collections experience.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience working in a healthcare reimbursement system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct third-party follow-up related to prescription medication dispensing by telephone, internet, and in writing.
• Follow up on unpaid claims, recouped payments, and underpaid claims.
• Resolve invoice nonpayment issues caused by insurance problems, including incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes, and pharmacy or shipping errors.
• Maintain chronological supporting notes detailing actions taken to resolve outstanding account balances.
• Maintain patient demographic information and data collection systems.
• Research and respond to insurance companies and governmental payers about collection issues by telephone, internet, and in writing.
• Contact patients, physician offices, and insurance companies as needed to expedite claims processing.
