About The Position

CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy, a mail service pharmacy in the Monroeville area, is hiring a full-time Insurance Collections Coordinator to handle insurance follow-up. The coordinator ensures timely and accurate payment of outstanding account balances while providing excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers. The role is based at the Monroeville facility, with free parking, and is supported by a collaborative team environment and the tools and resources needed to succeed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of healthcare insurance-related experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to commute to the Monroeville, Pennsylvania office.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
• Effective customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to use analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize them by importance while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clientele, verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Insurance billing or collections experience.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience working in a healthcare reimbursement system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct third-party follow-up related to dispensing prescription medication by telephone, internet, and in writing.
• Follow up on unpaid, recouped, and underpaid claims.
• Resolve nonpayment issues caused by insurance problems, including incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes, and pharmacy or shipping errors.
• Maintain chronological notes documenting actions taken to resolve outstanding account balances.
• Maintain patient demographic information and data collection systems.
• Research and respond to insurance companies and governmental payers about collection issues by telephone, internet, and in writing.
• Contact patients, physician offices, and insurance companies as needed to expedite claims processing.
