About The Position

The purpose of this job is to review and process all insurance documents internal and 3rd party provider documents, customer service for insurance, lender and assistant insurance correspondence, GBT insurance provider correspondence, insurance provider report review, distribution, and resolutions, manages, processes and update for insurance claims filed, and maintain records for insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the process, review, and customer correspondence for all Insurance customers and accounts.
  • Ensure that all insurance documents are obtained, completed and/or delivered if applicable.
  • Responsible for reviewing and disbursing reports to include contacting the insurance provider, if necessary.
  • Works with the lending staff to ensure all insurance is obtained and contains the correct information.
  • Reviews all necessary insurance documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Responsible for completing assigned training such as BAI and staying current on any regulation/compliance/policy changes.
  • Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary.
  • Research and answer customer inquiries.
  • Answer calls and emails from employees in a timely manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality with exposure to confidential information and must not discuss bank business with others and only internally with employees on a need-to-know business basis.
  • Ensure bank is in compliance with federal banking regulations including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Community Reinvestment Act, American with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Federal Reserve’s “lettered” regulations, and Insurance Clerk roles and responsibilities relating to each act.
  • Represent Guaranty Bank & Trust Company professionally, efficiently, and tactfully
  • Acknowledge and greet customers with a smile, call customer by their name, ask if they need any additional assistance, thank customer at end of every conversation
  • Ensure continuing development of professional relationships with management and colleagues.
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures
  • Answer and assist in coming callers with questions and requests, subsequently route callers, as appropriate.
  • Receive incoming bank visitors and assist in directing them appropriately.
  • Work overtime, as needed.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned and requested.
