About The Position

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Broker Support / Technical Service Representative to join our team in Brockville. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical and operational side of insurance and wants to play an important role in supporting brokers and delivering exceptional service to clients. In this role, you’ll work closely with our brokers, insurance carriers, and clients to keep policies moving smoothly from application through renewal and everything in between. You’ll be responsible for processing policy changes, reviewing documentation, coordinating with carriers, and making sure our systems and files are accurate and up to date.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a personal lines insurance brokerage environment is an asset.
  • Experience working with a Broker Management System (BMS) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support to brokers throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Work directly with insurance carriers to process endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, and other requests.
  • Review applications, renewals, endorsements, and policy documentation to ensure information is accurate, complete, and consistent.
  • Assist with pre-renewal preparation, including renewal letters, certificates of insurance, pink slips, and other client documentation.
  • Follow up with brokers, clients, and carriers to obtain outstanding information and documentation.
  • Process client payments and broker payment requests, including payment reminders and responding to payment-related inquiries.
  • Complete invoicing for non-download policies and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and policy information within the brokerage management system.
  • Remove MVR information from cancelled auto files in accordance with Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Prepare correspondence, policy documents, and other materials to support the broker team.
  • Provide reception coverage during vacations, absences, and busier periods as required.
  • Stay current on carrier products, procedures, systems, and workflow changes to provide knowledgeable and efficient support.
  • Assist the team with other technical and operational duties as needed.
