About The Position

ABA Pathways, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated Insurance Billing Specialist. The role requires prior medical billing experience; ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) billing experience is preferred. This is a full-time remote position reporting directly to the Director of Finance and the CEO.

The position is computer intensive and requires a confidential home workspace. The specialist works independently while collaborating with the finance team and other staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies, including Medicaid.
• Work directly with insurance companies, providers, and patients to get claims processed and paid.
• Communicate clearly with employees, clients, and insurance companies.
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims.
• Verify patients’ insurance coverage and act as a liaison between insurance companies and clients.
• Handle collections of unpaid accounts.
• Generate Accounts Receivable reports.
