About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The agent helps educators find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security while building and managing an agency. The role focuses on developing market access, creating strong client relationships, presenting products to groups and individuals, and growing a network through community and industry engagement. A dedicated Service Representative handles client service work so the agent can focus on building the business. No external office is required for the first two years.

Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement and includes an industry-leading 48-month incentive package. Activity- and success-based incentives and quarterly production incentives are available during the first 48 months. Horace Mann also provides an exclusive territory, technology, training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong business management skills to build and manage an agency.
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses: Life and Health Insurance License and Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

Nice To Haves

• Two to five years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry is preferred.
