About The Position

Shelter Insurance is seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to become a Shelter Insurance Agent in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is ideal for individuals who desire to meet new people, develop new contacts, become known in their community, and are passionate about serving their community. It offers the opportunity to grow sales, business, and networking skills, control one's own income, and start a business with minimal start-up costs. Shelter Insurance does not require previous insurance industry experience, with many successful agents coming from backgrounds in real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. A motivated attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and effective communication skills are required. While sales experience and a business degree are helpful, comprehensive training is provided. Shelter does not require prospective agents to have capital on hand, nor do they sell or loan money to agents to start their business. The primary expectations are meeting sufficient sales requirements and core business proficiencies. Financial responsibilities are limited to unsatisfied bills owed upon departure. A business owner's mindset is crucial for success. Agents may have the opportunity to hire staff for administrative and sales support.
