A company built to serve you. It's your career, Shelter it! We are seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to make a difference in Montrose, CO and become our newest Shelter Insurance Agent. This role is for individuals who desire to meet new people, develop new contacts, become known in their community, serve their community, grow sales, business, and networking skills, and control their own income. Shelter Insurance does not require previous insurance industry experience, with many new agents coming from diverse backgrounds like real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. The key requirements are a motivated attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, and effective communication skills in a sales environment. While sales experience and a degree with general business courses are helpful, they are not necessities, as Shelter provides in-house and virtual new agent training schools, along with continuing industry education. Shelter does not require prospective agents to have capital or assets on hand, nor does it sell agencies or loan money to agents. The only expectations are meeting sufficient sales requirements and core business proficiencies. Financial responsibilities upon departure are limited to unsatisfied bills like advertising contracts, telephone, and utilities. A true business owner’s mindset is essential for success. While the main focus is developing prospects and selling Shelter products, agents may also hire staff for administrative duties and sales improvement.
