About The Position

Shelter Insurance is seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to become a Shelter Insurance Agent in Hattiesburg, MS. This role is for individuals who desire to meet new people, develop contacts, become known in their community, and are passionate about serving it. It offers the opportunity to grow sales, business, and networking skills, control one's own income, and start a business without extreme start-up costs or capital requirements. Shelter does not require a previous background in the insurance industry, welcoming candidates from diverse fields like real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. The company provides in-house and virtual new agent training schools, along with continuing industry education, to help agents build their agencies. Agents are expected to meet sufficient sales requirements and core business proficiencies. While developing prospects and selling Shelter products is the main focus, agents may also have the opportunity to hire staff for administrative duties and sales improvement.
