About The Position

Shelter Insurance is seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to become a Shelter Insurance Agent in North Canton, OH. The company is looking for motivated individuals who desire to meet new people, develop contacts, and become known in their community, with a passion for serving. While previous insurance experience is a plus, it is not required, as many successful agents come from diverse backgrounds like real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. Key requirements include a motivated attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong communication skills in a sales environment. Shelter provides comprehensive support, including in-house and virtual new agent training schools, and continuing industry education to help agents launch their agencies. The company does not require capital or assets to start an agency, nor does it loan money; instead, it offers the opportunity to build a business with expectations of meeting sales requirements and core business proficiencies. Agents will focus on developing prospects and selling Shelter products, with the potential to hire staff for administrative and sales support.
