About The Position

Kemper is a diversified insurance holding company with a history spanning over 100 years, dedicated to serving the insurance needs of modest-income families. Our strength lies in our dedication to frequent personal home visits with new and existing customers to collect premiums, conduct sales of new policies, and address other service needs. For new unlicensed agents, the journey begins with a paid training period where tools and guidance are provided to study for and pass licensing exams. Upon licensing, agents are assigned an existing book of business and earn a percentage of collected premiums plus commission on new sales. This role offers the opportunity to increase monthly income through hard work and dedication, providing personal satisfaction and community prestige by helping clients protect what they cherish. The compensation model is pay-for-performance, allowing agents to determine their own paycheck, with potential for increased income as skills and knowledge grow. Superior performance is recognized through awards, prizes, and company-sponsored trips. The compensation for the role is fully commission-based.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage
  • Dependable vehicle for daily travel
  • Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Conducting sales presentations, recommending products, and closing new sales
  • Prospecting for new sales opportunities
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on a pre-arranged schedule that you determine
  • Responding promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans
  • Record keeping, accounting for money collected, and processing policy paperwork
  • Grow the assigned territory through new sales
  • Build strong working relationships with customers
  • Devote the time necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the role
  • Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness
