About The Position

This internship offers a unique opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in insurance agent recruiting. The program follows an 80/10/10 approach, dedicating 80% of time to core tasks, 10% to cross-departmental learning, and 10% to organizational-wide shared experiences to understand company culture. Interns will assist in identifying, qualifying, and targeting prospects using various recruiting platforms, supporting recruitment efforts across an 8-state region. The role provides structured training, an in-depth understanding of the candidate experience, and exposure to sales and field leadership.

Requirements

Current college student (Junior or Senior preferred), working toward a college degree in finance, marketing, management, communications, or a similar field.
Sourcing and networking skills through recruiting and social media platforms.
Must be a self-starter, take initiative and be highly motivated.
Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
Ability to work full-time (38.75 hours/week) during Summer 2027 and part-time (~20+ hours/week) during the school year (fall and spring), in-person from our office located in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
Not requiring any type of immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Assist in identifying, qualifying, and targeting prospects through various recruiting platforms.
Support a wide range of geographical locations covering an 8-state multiline insurance footprint.
Gain exposure to sales and field leadership.
Participate in structured, hands-on training.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the candidate experience.
