About The Position

The Derek Stein Agency is seeking a Licensed Insurance Account Manager to join their Personal Lines team in Wolverine Lake, Michigan. This role is designed for individuals who excel in teamwork, problem-solving, and providing clients with a smooth experience. The Account Manager will be responsible for assisting both new and existing personal lines clients, collaborating with the sales team, and acting as a key point of contact throughout the client's journey with the agency.

Requirements

Active Michigan Property & Casualty License required
2+ years of experience in personal lines account management, underwriting, or a related insurance client service role
Experience working with carrier quoting platforms and agency management systems
Strong knowledge of personal insurance products, including auto, homeowners, renters, and umbrella policies
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency with multiple computer systems and software applications

Responsibilities

Manage and service a portfolio of personal lines clients
Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and billing inquiries
Quote and rate insurance policies accurately and efficiently
Partner with the sales team to support new business opportunities
Build lasting client relationships through proactive communication and outstanding service
Assess clients' evolving insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
Contribute to client retention efforts by delivering a positive and professional customer experience
