About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking an Insurance Account Manager II for their Transportation team. This role is part of a division of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MRSH) and focuses on providing exceptional client service within the business insurance sector. The position involves client analysis of coverage, market knowledge, and maintaining strong client and carrier relationships. The Account Manager will also need to be knowledgeable about coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes. Responsibilities include transactional tasks like certificate issuance and invoicing, as well as more complex analytical work. The role supports Producers and Client Account Executives in managing larger or more complex accounts.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant insurance industry experience
  • Appropriate insurance license
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or related training
  • Strong client relation skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts; including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and discernment to resolve client and company problems
  • Ability to adopt a “servant leadership” mindset with the ability to both provide guidance and training to others while remaining committed to your own continuous learning path
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to quickly learn and utilize multiple applications.
  • Act with responsiveness, urgency, and professionalism in all matters
  • Prioritize work to achieve timely completion of the most critical and sensitive activities
  • Accept accountability for the quality of work
