About The Position

The Insulator/Metal Man performs insulation work on pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems to help control and maintain temperature. The role involves selecting insulation and related materials according to specifications; measuring and cutting insulation to the proper length; and securing it with adhesive, staples, tape, or wire bands. The employee may cover insulation with aluminum, plastic, or canvas and secure the cover with cement or bands, or install metal around insulated pipes to protect the insulation from weather or physical damage.

The position is based across construction sites and industrial facilities, with work also taking place in offices, warehouses, and buildings. Employees may work at heights, in confined spaces, and across varying elevations and weather conditions. Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High school degree.
• Construction or refinery experience.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Organization and time-management skills.
• Good aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Problem-solving abilities and good reading comprehension.
• Ability to work with others, communicate effectively with different levels of the organization, and build effective relationships.
• Reliable transportation.
• Commitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to meet all physical demands and pre-employment conditions.
• Clear MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct insulation work on pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems.
• Select insulation types, sizes, and related materials according to specifications.
• Measure and cut insulation sections to the proper length.
• Fasten insulation using adhesive, staples, tape, or wire bands.
• Apply and secure aluminum, plastic, or canvas covers over insulation.
• Install metal around insulated pipes to protect insulation from weather or physical damage.
• Work five days a week, or as needed, and be willing to work outside scheduled hours and overtime when necessary.
