About The Position

The Insulator Helper assists an insulator with applying, removing, and repairing insulating material on exposed surfaces and structures, including air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers, and buildings. The work helps control noise and maintain temperatures. The role may include other assigned duties.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of experience in an industrial setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work at heights.
• Carry tools and materials, prepare surfaces for insulation, and clean the work area.
• Assist the insulator with brushing adhesives onto surfaces or attaching metal-backed pipes.
• Measure and cut insulation material to specified sizes and shapes for flat or round surfaces using a tape measure, knife, or scissors.
• Assist with fitting, wrapping, or attaching insulation material around or to structures.
• Cover or seat insulation with specified material to secure it to the structure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
