About The Position
The Insulator Helper assists an insulator with applying, removing, and repairing insulating material on exposed surfaces or structures, including air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers, and buildings. The work helps control noise and maintain temperatures. Other duties may be assigned. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Austin Industrial cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
Requirements

- At least 6 months of experience in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Work at heights without fear.
- Carry tools and materials, prepare surfaces for insulation, and clean the work area.
- Assist the insulator with brushing on adhesives or attaching metal-backed pipes.
- Measure and cut insulation material to specified sizes and shapes for flat or round surfaces using a tape measure, knife, or scissors.
- Assist in fitting, wrapping, or attaching insulation material around or to structures.
- Cover or seat insulation with specified material to secure it to the structure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
