About The Position

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting for an Instrumentation Technician on a 12-month fixed-term basis. Alamos Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a strong track record and a commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. The company operates three mines in Canada and Mexico, with a portfolio of development and exploration projects. The recent completion of a highly automated expansion has increased production and free cash flow. Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education in instrumentation or equivalent experience
  • Experience in field maintenance of instrumentation devices, DCS or PLC’s
  • Strong safety focus
  • Self-motivated ability to work alone and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a gold milling environment would be an asset
  • Electrical experience would be an asset
  • Computer or network experience would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Installation, calibration, and maintenance of electronic process equipment
  • Installation and Programming of IP Video Equipment
  • Troubleshooting programming and technical issues
  • Installation and maintenance of automated valves and flow meters
  • Running cables and terminating field devices
  • Preventative maintenance on a wide variety of devices and mechanical equipment
  • Other duties assigned by the Supervisor, E&I as required
