About The Position

The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various instrumentation-related devices. This includes working with PLCs, flow meters, belt scales, pressure transducers, fiber optics, ethernet, backup battery banks, solar chargers, two-way radios, and wireless and control networks. The role also involves assisting the engineering team with new control system installations and upgrades, specifying necessary instrumentation, and working with third-party vendors and subcontractors on control system projects. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in the electrical field required.
  • Ability to work alone and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to work safely around high and low voltage electrical circuits.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics is preferred.
  • Previous experience with boiler/HVAC maintenance.
  • Experience with vintage DC crane and VFD/PLC.

Responsibilities

  • Program and maintain two-way radios.
  • Manage wireless and control networks.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
