Under the general supervision of the Electrical Supervisor the Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots electronic equipment. Must be able to read and interpret electronic and electrical drawings. Maintains, services, and repairs other electrical and various mechanical equipment. Works with repair crews by spotting, isolating, and disconnecting equipment to facilitate repair work. All other duties assigned by the Electrical Supervisor. Overview: Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians are responsible for repairing, servicing, and maintaining all electronic equipment throughout MCC operations while complying with all applicable mining regulations and/or MCC policies at all times. Basic qualifications and/or traits that the Electrical & Instrumentation Technician must possess include: 1. Electrical knowledge and aptitude. A basic knowledge of instrumentation and/or ability to learn instrumentation and electrical repairs. 2. Have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to learn programming. 3. Have reliable safety & attendance records. 4. Be able to work without constant supervision. 5. Be able to give and take direction.
