About The Position

AECOM is seeking an engineer to support its Water business line in Sacramento or Orange, California. The role supports dam safety projects through the design, installation, and monitoring of instrumentation systems that help ensure structural integrity and regulatory compliance. The engineer gathers and correlates engineering data, carries out assigned portions of broader engineering work, and completes primary design elements independently with little supervision while adhering to agreed budgets and schedules. The position involves field inspections, equipment calibration and troubleshooting, instrumentation data analysis, condition assessments, and preparation of technical reports for clients and regulatory agencies. The engineer collaborates with geotechnical, structural, hydraulics/hydrology, and environmental teams. U.S. citizenship is required. AECOM states that sponsorship and relocation are unavailable. Newly hired employees must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
