About The Position

Technician will have the opportunity to utilize strong electrical skills and knowledge focusing on PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics and troubleshooting leading to increased uptime and reliability, thus helping the facility to meet their production and quality goals. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the production and maintenance teams to achieve these goals.

Requirements

  • Technical associate’s degree, Industrial Mechanic Tech or electrician certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years Industrial experience in a manufacturing environment / Electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness.
  • Ability to plan and organize work in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work well under stress and time pressures.
  • Experience troubleshooting and programming electrical controls not limited to: Allen Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, & SLC 500) and Siemens PLC’s (TIA Portal)
  • Experience with A/C and D/C motors, motor controllers and motor drives (ABB, Siemens, & Demag)
  • Experience troubleshooting strain gauges, analog signals, and digital signals.
  • Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Familiar with the National Electric Code
  • Willing and able to work any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
  • Willing and able to work at heights
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Self-motivate, team oriented, and excellent interpersonal skill

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMMS systems, will be trained on in house system

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and program electrical controls including Allen Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, & SLC 500) and Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal).
  • Troubleshoot A/C and D/C motors, motor controllers and motor drives (ABB, Siemens, & Demag).
  • Troubleshoot strain gauges, analog signals, and digital signals.
  • Read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
  • Work at heights.
