The Instrumentation Electrical Technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots industrial control systems, including instrumentation and power distribution equipment. This role involves performing PLC troubleshooting, maintaining program documentation, and handling Variable Frequency Drive installation and troubleshooting. The technician will also maintain and troubleshoot advanced operator interface equipment, identify automation opportunities for process improvement and safety, and manage electrical project work. Additionally, they will assist in developing the skills of others, coordinate and store plant electrical drawings, and provide general maintenance support. The position requires working a rotating shift and installing/maintaining lab testing equipment, fiber optic systems, printers, and label machines. The technician will troubleshoot standard line problems, perform work orders, and design/assemble/install electrical equipment based on sketches, manuals, verbal instructions, and drawings. Adjusting or repairing electrical and process control instruments on machinery and equipment is also a key responsibility, along with working with vendors to identify parts and make recommendations. Operation of power lift equipment may be necessary.
