About The Position

The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, electrical, measurement, and communication systems supporting oil and gas production operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient field operations while supporting SCADA systems, measurement equipment, and automation controls.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of SCADA systems
  • Working knowledge of ROC operating systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow direction.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with automation and measurement systems.
  • Familiarity with field instrumentation calibration.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas production equipment and processes.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the company's safety program.
  • Attend monthly and field safety meetings.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews.
  • Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Program, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA packs and ROC systems.
  • Install, program, and maintain GL meters and valve control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Profire burner management systems.
  • Calibrate and maintain LEL gas monitors.
  • Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot Radar level transmitters, Rosemount instrumentation, Coriolis meters, Flare meters, LACT measurement systems, and other field measurement equipment.
  • Assist with maintenance of field communication systems.
  • Manage and maintain communication towers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair communication outages.
  • Cross-train with other I&E leads and assist in developing field operators.
  • Work independently while following established procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and coworkers.
  • Participate in the rotating weekend on-call schedule.
