This role is generally responsible for performing routine design of less complex design assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. The position is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex electrical and instrumentation assignments under close supervision. Primary responsibilities include familiarity with and utilization of department design and drafting standards, understanding project scope, specifications, and design criteria, drafting installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementary diagrams, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts, and grounding, lighting, power, and instrumentation plans. The role also involves recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly, and providing on-site assistance during startup.
