Instrumentation & Controls Engineer
About The Position
Talon Hiring Solutions has a client that is looking for an experienced I&C Engineer to help lead and support a I&C project scope. This role involves developing and documenting the scope of work, understanding project success criteria, and ensuring client expectations are met. The engineer will also develop and track project costs, identify and communicate changes to the scope of work, and address client issues and needs. A key aspect of this role is ensuring value is provided to the client and developing trust. The position requires knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering processes, as well as the ability to review and manage all project deliverables and document scope changes.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in project engineering and project management, including EPC or engineering firm experience
- Experienced I&C lead engineer on major capital projects from the study phase, detailed design, construction support, check out and start-up.
- Control systems design – ideally with both DCS and PLC systems
- Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
