About The Position

The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer Intern or Co-op will work alongside other Instrumentation & Controls Engineers to prepare drawings, instrument specifications, calculations, and other deliverables for our clients’ design projects. The position will also interface with team members in our other engineering disciplines to provide cohesive engineering packages to our clients.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent education) in Chemical or Electrical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university
• Ability to work within diverse teams assembled from Nexus, clients, and others
• Effective communication skills in order to convey ideas is a must
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Seeks feedback to improve performance
• Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must be able to maintain that authorization throughout employment without any action, filing, or sponsorship by the company. This requirement applies both at the time of hire and on a continuing basis for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiar with AutoCAD, or other drafting software a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete calculations of limited complexity, with supervision as needed; may include control valve and flow meter sizing
• Develop and maintain block and loop drawings
• Provide support with instrument specifications
• Assist experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineers with their activities as requested
