About The Position

Mentor Technical Group provides technical support and solutions for FDA-regulated industries, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device organizations. The Instrumentation Calibration Technician performs calibrations and supports calibration-program management in pharmaceutical environments. The role includes work with bioreactors, utilities, formulation, and aseptic areas, and requires knowledge of process tolerances, tolerance calculations, calibration-system assessments, and cGMP. The stated schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Instrumentation Technology, Instrumentation Engineering, and/or Electronics.
• Experience performing calibrations in a pharmaceutical industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of tolerance calculations and process-tolerance evaluation.
• Experience with calibration-system assessment.
• Knowledge of cGMP.
• Experience or knowledge involving temperature, pressure, humidity, flow, mass, pH, conductivity, dimensional, and electrical technologies.
• Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Nice To Haves

• Biotechnology experience.
• Experience with Blue Mountain (RAM), Calman, or Procal software.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations in pharmaceutical industry environments; biotechnology experience is preferred.
• Manage the calibration program using process instrumentation and calibration knowledge.
• Perform calibrations for bioreactors, utilities, formulation, and aseptic areas.
• Evaluate process tolerances and perform tolerance calculations.
• Assess calibration systems.
