ORAU is seeking qualified candidates on behalf of a partner organization for an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer role. The selected candidate will be employed by ORAU’s partner and will perform work onsite at Idaho National Laboratory (INL), specifically within the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC). The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to support design and system engineering efforts for advanced microreactor technologies.INL is recognized as the lead national laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE‑NE), providing the research, development, and demonstration capabilities needed to accelerate nuclear innovation from concept to deployment. MFC collaborates closely with the National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) to bring next‑generation microreactors to INL for testing and demonstration. The I&C Engineer will apply deep technical expertise to design, develop, install, and maintain the instrumentation and control systems that monitor and operate engineering systems in nuclear facility environments. This includes applying engineering principles and advanced data analytics to ensure systems perform safely, reliably, efficiently, and predictably.
