This recruitment is to fill a position within the SRWA Surface Water Treatment Plant. The City of Turlock is offering NEW INCENTIVES for Instrumentation and Control Technician, Senior. The Instrumentation and Control Technician, Senior INCENTIVE breakdown is as follows: $2,500 – Upon hiring $2,500 – Upon completion of probation $2,500 – Upon completion of 3 years of service from hiring. Under general supervision, the Instrumentation and Control Technician Senior installs, modifies, maintains and operates a variety of control, protection, and computer equipment for the Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Storm/Sewer Collection Systems and Water Distribution Systems. This position works closely with Water/Wastewater Plant Operations and Maintenance staff. This classification is assigned to the Turlock City Employees Association bargaining unit for labor relations purposes and is subject to overtime assignments. This is an advanced journey/lead level class. Individuals working at this level are expected to have extensive and advanced level knowledge of instrumentation and control processes. This class is distinguished from the Level I/II class by its advanced level duties and from the Instrumentation and Control Technician, Supervisor, by the latter’s responsibility for the full scope of supervisory duties. General supervision is provided by the Instrumentation and Control Supervisor; incumbent may provide technical direction to assigned staff. When assigned to the SRWA Surface Water Treatment Plant, general supervision is provided by the Water Treatment Plant Operations Supervisor.
