About The Position

As an Instrument Technician, you will work in a fast-paced, agile, and constantly growing environment. Your daily work will consist of performing manufacturing processes, system configuration, or troubleshooting and repair tasks supporting a diverse product portfolio of veterinary instruments and supporting technology. In this role, there is a great deal of opportunity for growth and a clearly defined career ladder. As a technician in Instrument Solutions, you will assemble and test new or modified electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components or assemblies across all IDEXX product lines. You will collaborate strongly with a variety of teams both inside and outside the department. You will assist in the timely creation and implementation of procedures and documentation to support existing and new products and/or equipment for manufacturing and service operations. You will be responsible for the execution and/or implementation of the equipment preventative maintenance program, as well as troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing malfunctioning products. You will record test procedures and results on a PC, utilizing spreadsheet tools to archive numerical and graphical data, and make recommendations for changes in product or test methods. You will perform a variety of manufacturing tasks to assemble, package, and inspect products as needed.

Requirements

  • Production / manufacturing or related experience.
  • Electromechanical equipment repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic acumen, including use of diagnostic equipment and related tooling.
  • MS Office platforms and other relevant software tools and knowledge.
  • Positive, open-minded, and flexible team player.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
