About The Position

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Instrument Technician, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The Instrument Technician will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of progressive experience in technical instrumentation with six months’ schooling in electronics or instrumentation field
  • In-depth knowledge of operational characteristics of laboratory test instruments
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions
  • Must put forward professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
  • Current United States Citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and repair various instruments for electrical and mechanical measurements used in aeronautical tests and research activities and in plant control.
  • Modify, fabricate, maintain, repair, and calibrate a variety of mechanical, optical, electrical, electromechanical, and electronic indicating and recording instruments and precision measuring equipment.
  • Perform diagnostic and troubleshooting activities required to service discrete and digital logic instrument control systems.
  • Connect instruments to computers and recording devices.
  • Adjust and calibrate instruments as directed and adapt them to new or extended uses.
  • Assist in servicing and adjusting computers, microprocessors, and peripheral devices.
  • Use a wide variety of instruments, tools, and equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.
  • Work primarily in a laboratory or field equipment environment.
  • Assist in training lower-level technicians.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Participate in functional specific safety training.
