Petro-Hunt, L.L.C. is seeking an Instrument Technician for its Little Knife Gas Plant location. The Little Knife Gas Plant gathers gas from oil production units, compresses it, strips it of Hydrogen Sulfide, dehydrates it, chills it to -85 degrees through refrigeration and cryogenics, separates the gas from the liquids, and then fractionates the liquids to make propane, butane, and NGLs. Natural gas is sold via pipeline, and liquids are transported out via transport trucks. The Instrument Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of instrument apparatus, analyzers, and control systems for this natural gas processing facility. This will require tuning and monitoring the performance of plant instruments, including mechanical, electronic pneumatic, and safety systems. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The selected candidate will initially train as an operator and, upon becoming proficient, will acquire a full-time position as an instrument technician. Assistance may be required with larger projects for the maintenance group.
