About The Position

The Instrument Tech disinfects, sterilizes, and assembles surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. The role requires the ability to recognize surgical instruments and instrument trays typically assembled in the applicable area. The stated work hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED), or post-secondary education.
• One year of experience as an Instrument Technician.

Nice To Haves

• Central Service Technician certification.
• For inpatient sterile processing: CRCST or CSPDT certification.
• For outpatient sterile processing: CRCST, CSPDT, or CASSPT certification.
• For GI Labs: CFER certification is acceptable.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

• Disinfect, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Recognize surgical instruments and surgical instrument trays typically assembled in the applicable area.
